These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by The Canvas Motif ("Studio", "we", "us"), a visual content production studio operated by Siddharth Soni, India. By engaging our services or accessing this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

The Canvas Motif provides the following professional services:
All services are subject to the scope agreed upon in a written brief, proposal, or contract exchanged prior to commencement of work.
Advance payment: All bookings require a non-refundable advance (typically 50% of the total project value) to confirm the shoot date and begin production planning. The advance amount will be stated in your project proposal.
Balance payment: The remaining balance is due prior to delivery of final files, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Retainers: Monthly retainer packages are billed at the start of each cycle and are payable within 7 days of invoice. Services for that cycle commence upon receipt of payment.
Late payment: Invoices unpaid beyond the agreed due date may attract a delay charge of 2% per month. Final deliverables will be withheld until full payment is received.
Client-initiated cancellation: If you cancel a confirmed booking, the advance payment is forfeited. Cancellations within 72 hours of the shoot date may attract an additional cancellation fee equal to 25% of the remaining balance, to cover crew and equipment costs already committed.
Rescheduling: One rescheduling request is accommodated at no charge if made at least 7 days before the shoot date, subject to studio availability. Rescheduling with less than 7 days notice is treated as a cancellation.
Studio-initiated cancellation: If we need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, the advance will be refunded in full or the booking will be rescheduled at your preference.
Estimated delivery timelines will be communicated in your project brief. Standard turnaround is 7-14 business days for photography and 2-4 weeks for film, from the date of the shoot. Rush delivery is available at an additional charge.
Deliverables are provided in formats agreed at briefing (typically high-resolution JPEGs for photography, MP4 for video). Raw files are not included in standard packages unless explicitly agreed.
Each project includes a standard number of revision rounds as stated in the proposal (typically 2 rounds of selects for photography, 2 rounds of video edits). Additional revisions beyond the included rounds will be charged at our current hourly or per-round rate.
Ownership: The Canvas Motif retains the copyright in all photographs, films, and creative works produced. Upon receipt of full payment, we grant you a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use the deliverables for the purposes agreed in the project brief (e.g., social media, website, print advertising).
Portfolio rights: We reserve the right to display work produced for you in our portfolio, on our website, and on our social media channels, unless you specifically request confidentiality in writing before the project commences.
Restrictions: You may not sell or sublicence the deliverables to third parties, or use them in a context materially different from the agreed brief, without our prior written consent.

We are not liable for delays or quality issues arising from incomplete briefing, unprepared locations, or late client feedback.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Canvas Motif's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost revenue or business opportunity, even if advised of the possibility of such losses.
In the rare event of equipment failure, severe weather, or other circumstances beyond our control that prevent delivery of agreed services, our liability is limited to a refund of the advance payment or rescheduling at no additional charge.
Both parties agree to keep confidential any sensitive business information shared during the course of a project. This obligation survives termination of the engagement.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gujarat, India.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at thecanvasmotif.com/terms.html. Continued use of our services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
